At the Ridge since 3/12/2009
Originally from Wichita, Kansas, Jeff’s Jayhawk roots took him to the University of Kansas for his Bachelor’s degree in Sociology in 2005. At Kansas, he was a Senior Resident Assistant for three years in the Jayhawker Towers which was and is the Residence Hall for the Kansas basketball team. His experience as a RA led him to his current career in student affairs.
Jeff continued on his educational path to the University of Central Missouri where he studied College Student Personnel Administration earning his Masters of Science. After graduating, he accepted as a Residence Hall Director at the University at Buffalo and remained in that position for two years before accepting the Director position at the University Ridge Apartments in 2009.
In his spare time, Jeff enjoys watching movies, cooking, and playing outdoors with his three sons.
Assistant Director of Residence Life

Luke is originally from the Lehigh Valley area of Pennsylvania and is a graduate of Northampton High School! Go KIDS! He did his undergraduate work at ESU where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. During his junior year at ESU, he was hired as a Resident Advisor in Laurel Hall and immediately fell in love with working in student affairs. After graduation, Luke became the Graduate Hall Director of Laurel Hall and eventually became the Resident Director in Linden Hall. When University Ridge was built and opened in 2005, Luke was hired as the Assistant Director for Student Affairs at the Ridge, and the rest is history!
For Luke, the best part of his job is advising and working with students. He oversees 3 summer RAs and 7 academic years RAs. He also oversees all conduct violations at the Ridge as well as programming.
For fun, Luke is a huge TV buff watching anything from talk shows, to reality TV, to cheesy made-for-TV movies. He also loves to travel and explore new places. Luke is heavily involved in local community theatre and enjoys spending time in NYC.
Assistant Director of Operations

Jamie is originally from the Slate Belt Area of Pennsylvania and graduated from Bangor Area High School. She attended East Stroudsburg University earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management. While attending ESU Jamie worked for and completed an internship with CVS Pharmacy. Upon graduation Jamie accepted a management position with CVS and spent several years working in the Philadelphia and Trenton markets as a Store Manager and Trainer.
After making the decision to leave retail management, Jamie accepted a position as an Office Coordinator for a real estate company. The experience in management and real estate has led Jamie to her position as Assistant Director of Operations at the Ridge.
In her spare time, Jamie enjoys spending time with her three children, her husband, and extended family. She also enjoys reading and watching any episode of Castle.
Maintenance and Custodial Supervisor

Rich is originally from Linden, NJ and lived there for 30 years before moving to Marshalls Creek, PA in 1990. He is a 1978 graduate of Linden High School’s Vocational Graphic Arts program and worked in the printing industry for many years. He also worked as a delivery associate at Sysco Foodservice for 18 years making deliveries mainly in NYC.
Growing up, Rich’s parents owned rental property which led to him owning rental properties as well. He found his true calling in 2007 when he was hired by University Ridge as a Groundskeeper/Custodian, before being promoted to Maintenance Technician in 2010.
Rich enjoys living in the Poconos with his wife Julie, camping, traveling our great country and others, maintaining his rental properties, beekeeping, and working at University Ridge!

Mike was born and raised in Stroudsburg. He graduated in 1981 from Stroudsburg High School.
Mike has been married for over 20 years and has two sons.
In his spare time, Mike likes to watch the Dallas Cowboys, ride motorcycles, fish, and hunt.

Michael is originally from Manhattan where he was born and raised. He moved to PA in 2008 with his wife and kids. Michael is a 1981 graduate from Forsyth High School in NYC. Michael has worked in the construction and maintenance field; he has also worked as a property manager in Rocklyn County.
Michael enjoys attending Sunday services with his family, reading, and living in PA.

Born and raised in East Stroudsburg, Tyler Adams graduated from East Stroudsburg High School South. After taking a year off to work he attended ESU and graduated with a theater degree.
Since graduating, Tyler spent time traveling and working at a NYC theater festival.
In his free time, he enjoys playing video games, doing beach body workouts, and watching TV shows such as Bob’s Burgers and The Walking Dead.
2015-2016 Resident Advisors
Returning Resident Advisor
Christine is a senior at ESU from Doylestown, Pennsylvania. She is working on her Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation and Human Services with a minor in Psychology. Next year she plans on going to Grad School for Occupational Therapy. When she’s not busy with school, Christine loves to explore the outdoors, spend time with her family or unwind with some music and a bowl of ice cream. She’s excited to be back as an RA for the 2nd year and hopes to help all URidge students have a wonderful college experience.
Returning Resident Advisor
Jordan is a junior majoring in Business Management and minoring in Economics. Post-graduation he intends to return to ESU for his Master’s in Business Administration. In addition to being an RA, Jordan is also the Treasurer of ESU’s LGBT+ organization P.R.I.D.E. and works at the LGBTQA Program Center in Shawnee Hall. In his spare time he likes to cook, play video games, watch movies, and sing. Jordan is super excited to be returning to the Ridge RA staff this year!
Leah is from Erie, Pennsylvania. She is a junior majoring in Computer Science and Computer Security. She is also a member of Student Senate and plans to study abroad in China next year. During the summer she enjoys riding her motorcycle along Lake Erie, especially in the week-long Roar on the Shore Festival.
Gino Piro was born in Easton, Pennsylvania and has lived in the surrounding Pennsylvania area for all of his life, including Bloomsburg, Bethlehem, Quakertown, and at his current home in Wilson. For the 2015-2016 academic year, Gino is looking forward to working at the University Ridge as an RA. Gino is currently Undeclared in his major, but plans to major in Computer Science with a minor in English. In his free time, Gino enjoys playing video games, watching anime (Japanese cartoons) and reading manga (Japanese comics).
“I am always there, now and forever. I am the Infantry! Follow ME!” Carmelo is 24 years old and came to ESU after graduating from NCC with an Associate degree in Arts for Secondary Education. As you can tell from the first line, he is an Infantryman in the Army and has been for the last 7 seven years. Teaching is currently his goal, and he also has a love for professionalism, mentoring, and history, all of which he is pursing at ESU. The New York Yankees, The Three Stooges and Star Wars make up Carmelo’s TV interests, and when he is not kicking back, you can expect him to be outside hiking. Lastly, Carmelo loves cars and candy, and chances are that you’ll never see him without a watch on his wrist.
Michelle is from Long Valley, New Jersey. She is a senior majoring in Business Management with a concentration in Marketing and plans to graduate in 2016. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree she plans on continuing her education with a master’s in Business Management. Michelle is currently a member of the ESU equestrian team. Her hobbies include hiking, swimming, and anything that involves being outside.
Taylor is from Limerick, Pennsylvania. She is a junior majoring in Rehabilitation and Human Services with a minor in Psychology. Taylor is involved in numerous organizations on campus such as Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity, RSSO, Autism Speaks U and a few others. She loves to cook, watch Netflix and do anything that involves being outside!
